SENIOR WELDING INSPECTOR – Brunei Darussalam

Responsibilities:

•     Responsible for the quality of the work at the work site
•     Ensuring the correct procedures are in place and adhered to Responsible for the implementation of Inspection and test plan
•     Co-ordination of site NDT Personnel
•     To conduct onshore review of engineering packages (Job card sand WON) related to inspection, NDT and other QA/QC requirements in accordance with BSP specification and related codes and standards before issuance to offshore
•     To assist QA/QC Engineer in the final review of QCDP packages
•     Liaison to Design/Engineering Personnel regarding the findings after the review

DUTIES

•     Inspection of Welding. Standby or replacement of welding inspector when require
•     Maintenance of Welding History, verification of Welders qualifications
•     Painting Inspection, reporting and verification of qualifications
•     Preparation of Quality Control Data Pack
•     Initial review of QCDP packages whenever QA/QC Engineer is not available
•     Job Card Monitoring
•     Conduct review of engineering package. As minimum, the following shall be reviewed:
•     a)   PWHT b) inspection and NDT requirements c) Jobcard requirements versus drawings d) Hydro test e) Bolt torqueing and RT Interpretations
•     Liaise  with  Campaign  Engineers  and  Design  Checkers  to  discuss  problem  related  to drawings jobcards, bolt torque check sheet and WON
•     Witness, perform and record welder and procedure qualification tests
•     Surveillance audit as required.

Requirements:

•     10 years in Welding Inspection
•     5 years Painting Inspection
•     CSWIP 3.2 Welding Inspector (or equivalent AWS etc.)
•     B Gas Level 2 Painting Inspector
•     1 additional NDT qualification

PLANNING ENGINEER - Oil & Gas (Onshore / Offshore) - Brunei Darussalam
Qualification & Experience:

•     Having 6 years of experience to the related field.
•     Hands-on experience in planning & scheduling for maintenance work orders and for large to midscale onshore and offshore projects.
•     Having 3 years experience as Planning Engineer on oil & gas related maintenance and
•     Construction projects preferably involving offshore installations.
•     Advance knowledge on the Project Planning Tools.
•     Advance knowledge on Microsoft Office.
•     Must possess management skills.

•     Must possess good communication and coordination skills.
•     Degree or equivalent preferably in the engineering disciplines.
•     Fluent in English (Spoken & Written).

CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER - Oil & Gas (Onshore / Offshore) - Brunei Darussalam
Qualification & Experience:

•     Having 6 years experience in an offshore campaign having mechanical / piping discipline dealing with oil and gas projects where at least two years have been spent in the preparation and development of detailed offshore execution work scopes.
•     A recognized degree or equivalent experience or qualification in relevant branch of engineering.

PROJECT ENGINEER - Brunei Darussalam
Qualification & Experience:

•     Having 6 years’ experience in an offshore campaign having mechanical / piping discipline dealing with oil and gas projects where at least two years have been spent in the preparation and development of detailed offshore execution work scopes.

Makin Kompetitif di Separuh Abad

Seiring bertambahnya usia, keinginan seseorang untuk berkompetisi semakin menurun. Demikian tampaknya kenyataan yang ada di masyarakat. Namun tahukan Anda, kondisinya tak selalu demikian lho.

Studi yang dilakukan Ulrich Mayr, seorang profesor psikologi dari University of Oregon (UO) Amerika Serikat, menemukan bahwa usia 50 merupakan fase paling kompetitif dari kehidupan seseorang. Hal ini tentu berkebalikan dengan pandangan umum selama ini. Di dunia kerja sendiri, seperti dilansir melalui mediaindonesia.com, kinerja karyawan muda lebih diperhatikan daripada rekannya yang lebih tua.

Mayr dibantu William Harbaugh, profesor ekonomi dari UO, memulai penelitian pada musim panas 2010 silam. Mereka melakukan penelitian bersama sejumlah siswa SMA yang tengah belajar bersama UO dalam program musim panas.

Para siswa lantas mendirikan kios di sebuah pusat perbelanjaan. Di kios tersebut, ratusan relawan berusia 25-75 tahun diberikan tantangan permainan matematika sederhana. Jika mampu menjawab soal tersebut, mereka bisa mendapatkan uang tunai dalam jumlah kecil. Namun jika mereka bisa mengalahkan salah seorang lawan dalam menjawab soal, mereka bisa mendapatkan hadiah lebih besar. Artinya, mereka sebenarnya diberi pilihan untuk bermain sendiri atau bersama saingan.

Dan hasilnya, hampir 70 persen laki-laki berusia 45-54 tahun memilih untuk bertanding satu lawan satu. Di sisi lain, hanya terdapat 54 persen saja dari mereka yang berusia 25-34 tahun memilih bertanding satu lawan satu. Untuk usia 35-44 tahun hanya terdapat 50 persennya saja.

Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa rentang usia 45-54 tahun merupakan fase paling kompetitif dalam kehidupan seseorang. Jiwa kompetisi ini kemudian menurun setelah rentang usia tersebut. Hasil ini juga berlaku pada perempuan. Meski ditemukan fakta pula bahwa jiwa bersaing perempuan lebih rendah dibanding laki-laki. [CN]
